Ithaca scrapes together win at 35th Beecher Invite

The Little Red continued their streak at the Beecher Invitational held at Ernie David Academy, extending it to 7 Class A Team titles.  A Little Red Swimmer has also been honored to receive the Most Outstanding Performer in all 7 of those efforts.

The depth of the Maine-Endwell Spartans proved to be a significant challenge to the Ithaca Team.  Ithaca saw themselves down by 30 points with 4 events remaining.  With relay wins in the 200 and 400 Free Relays, a dominant performance in the backstroke events and solid breastroke performance, Ithaca pulled off the 13 point win.

Additionally, the Little Red showed dominance in the 200 Free by placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd (Lovette, Cyrus Browning, Owen Kelly).  Jamie Lovette and Owen Kelly claimed the top two spots while Ben Silbert placed 4th in the 500 free.   Tim Hector touched first in the 100 backstoke and Robert Mangan had the top time in the 100 free event.
