The Little Red continue their winning ways! The boys placed 1st in the class A division at the Invite and placed first in overall points, beating the next closest competitor by over 80 points. See Full Results: EFA Beecher invite All of the boys had great swims today. There were many Personal Records!!! Not all of the swims were the boys fastest times, but the boys are all learning how to pace swims, fine tune phasing into turns, and finish their races. These experiences make for great swims, and will translate into faster performances at Section Championships.
The 200 Medley Relay team of Dave Miller, Kyle Markwardt, Ryan Nicholson, and Will Fisher achieved a state qualifying time of 1:40.35. The 400 Free Relay team of Ryan Nicholson, Dave Miller, Francis Schickel and Will Fisher also achieved a state qualifying time of 3:15. 35 (which is currently ranked #1 in the state). Ryan Nicholson was awarded Athlete of the Meet for outstanding swims in both of the above relays and pool records in the 200 I.M. and the 100 butterfly.
