Coaches, assistants, swimmers and families, please join the Fisher Family at our Kumon Center for this year’s get-together. We’re located  between Gene’s Barber Shop and Kinney Drug Store, facing North Triphammer Road.  Lots of seating and eating! Vegetarian option will be included.

It’s been a wonderful experience to be part of the “whole” team for six exciting years. In lieu of  pooling money we ask you to consider one of the following options, and connect with Margaret Fisher (Will’s mom) for updates, input, changes, and RSVP’s.

–Saturday, Jan. 5:  prep and cook  11 a.m – 3 p.m. at our workshop in Brooktondale (I’ll give you address/directions when you contact me)…it’s fun!

–Sunday, Jan. 6 at Kumon: 

Set-up, 11:00 a.m.

Bring  a large pan of brownies, 1:00 p.m.

Bring a  ½ gal vanilla ice cream (or non-dairy vanilla frozen treat), 1:00 p.m.

Bring a few 2 liter bottles of  whatever soft beverage you choose,  1:00 p.m.

Congratulations to the Little Red with a 70-30 win at Union-Endicott.  The highlight of the meet was Charles Chang’s completion of the 500 Free swimming butterfly in a time of 6:33.  Good Job Charles!!!  It was a good showing by the team as we head into the Winter break and doubles training sessions.

What great swims from the whole team. Luciano also had a great showing on the board. Results will be posted shortly. Congratulations to the team!

Thank you to the parents and family members that helped time and pass out ribbons. An additional Thank you goes out to Chris Archer, Kevin Markwardt and IC athletics for being so supportive of this meet.

Great performance by the team. The Little Red swept 3 events and won 11 out of 12 events.  It was a dominating performances by the whole team. 2 Horseheads pool records from the mid 1980s went down.  Congrats Ryan Nicholson!  Congrats to Luciano Servetto for getting his first diving win of the season. Great showing by the Little Red.  Personal best swims all around.  Congratulations on the great swimming display and support of your teammates.

Great showing by the Little Red Swimmers and Diver.  There were several personal records set, two home pool records broken and one nearly dashed.   Check out the full results in the results section.

The team will be tested next week when they host a tough, Class B, Maine-Endwell at home.

I hope everyone is able to spend the time they need with family and friends. I am especially thankful for my family and the great group of swimmers I am privileged to coach. Good work the past few weeks!

Just a last minute reminder…..  Team Picture day is tomorrow during practice.  The package envelopes were distributed at practice last week.  Swimmers and Diver, please dress in a nice shirt and tie, plus nice pants. Thanks.

The team will be hosting an Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraiser on Dec 2nd  from 8am to 10am.  (Applebee’s  2300 N. Triphammer Rd. Ithaca, NY 14850)  Tickets are $6 and available for pre-sale from one of the team members or at the door during the event.  You may also contact Mike Blakely-Armitage for tickets: mikearmitageswims@gmail.com.
