On Wednesday the IHS Swimming Aquanauts sent a clear message to reigning Section IV Class A champs, Horseheads, that they want the Title back.
Little Red Swimmers either held their rank or improved significantly to position themselves to be significant scoring threats at the Section IV Swimming Finals on Saturday. The meet is being held at Owego Free Academy and starts at 1:00pm.

Ithaca won 9 of 12 events on their way to sweeping the dual meet season. Emily Rubin capped off her Senior dual meet campaign with a pool record in the 500 Free (5:19.17)
Annika Browning was a double winner for the Little Red winning the 200 Free and 100 fly. Corning’s Stephanie Li also won two events, 200 IM and 100 Breast. Jordan Lu finished the season undefeated in Dual Meet Diving competition for the Little Red.
The Little Red look to continue their winning campaign at the Section IV class A Championships. Nov 4, 6 and 7.
Ithaca swept all 12 events and had a proper send off for their Seniors. Emily Rubin won the 200 IM and 500 Free. Jordan Lu won a close diving competition with STAC Rival Loren Sayers. The Little Red complete their dual meet season Oct 23rd at Corning.

The Ithaca Aquanauts faced pretty tough competition on Saturday at the Shen Invitational. This didn’t faze them. Every swimmer had a season best time, or a Personal Best. Indie Stratton had a hand in 6 state qualifying times throughout the day. She qualified individually in the 50 and 100 free, 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly. She teamed up with Juniors Annika Browning, Micaela Moravek and Kristen Reid to make the state qualifying time in both the 200 Free Relay and the 400 Free Relay.
Annika Browning proved that she will be a force to be reckoned with in the 200 and 500 free events. She is currently ranked 2nd in both events in NYS.
Wednesday the Little Red will be celebrating Senior Night when then swim against Elmira combined at home.
The Ithaca Little Red continued their dominance of STAC and Section IV opponents by winning all 12 events vs Visitor Vestal.
Seldoen Oshoe had her best times of the season on her way to winning both the 100 Fly and 100 Breast. Indie Stratton (100 Free and 100 back) and Annika Browning (200 Free and 500 Free) were also double individual winners. Jordan Lu won the diving and is currently undefeated in dual meet diving competition.
The Little Red are now preparing for the Shenedehowa Invite, where they will swim against some of the top teams in the state, including reigning state Champion, Pittsford.
Ithaca traveled to Union-Endicott on Friday and came home with a resounding win over STAC rival Union-Endicott (67-33).
Ithaca won 11 of 12 events. Micaela Moravek won both 50 and 100 freestyle events and Annika Browning won the 500 freestyle with a pool record setting time of 5:15.40. She eclipsed her older sister Karinna’s mark. Other individual winnters were Isabella Rubin in the 200 Free, Lucy Wang in the 200 IM, Indie Stratton in the 100 fly, Erin Seely in the 100 back and Seldoen Oshoe in the 100 Breast.
On Tuesday October 6th, Ithaca hosts Vestal (5:30pm).
The Ithaca Little Red endured a marathon swim meet at the 2015 Elmira Invitational. Ithaca Diver, Jordan Lu, qualified for the State championship with a score of 453.45 and finished 4th place overall. Ithaca won both Free Relays with the quartet of Annika Browning, Indie Stratton, Micaela Moravek and Kristen Reid. Browning also tied for first in the 100 backstroke. Ithaca coaches entered swimmers in their “off” events to get a sense of the team’s depth chart. Notable swims came from Seldoen Oshoe in the 100 Breast, Indie Stratton in 200 IM, Kristen Reid, Popo Hong and Delia Ablard in 500 Free. Popo Hong had a nice swim in the 200 Free. Ablard and Molly Reid had good swims in the 100 Free.
The team travels to Union Endicott on Oct. 2nd.
The Ithaca Little Red hosted STAC rival, Binghamton, in Ithaca for their first home meet of the season. Ithaca won 11 of 12 events as they showed depth in their line up. 8 different Little Red Swimmers won Individuals events and the Little Red swept all three relays. Tomorrow, Ithaca travels to Elmira to compete with STAC and IAC schools at the Elmira Invite.
